    A 56 year old director of a drug rehabilitation centre presented with a non-traumatic, subacute, painful, right sided lower cervical radiculopathy. As well as a weak hand and C8-T1 sensory loss, she complained of "electric current shocks" from the clavicle to the both knees, and interscapular pain with coughing. There were no constitutional symptoms, heart murmurs, fever, or peripheral blood inflammatory markers. Two samples of imaging are illustrated—a post gadolinium coronal T1 MRI (A) and an axial CT scan with bone window settings at the C7 level (B). What are the radiological abnormalities? Which other diagnostic test provided a clear way forward? How was she treated?
