Hemichorea, an unusual complication of ventriculoperitoneal shunt

J Clin Neurosci. 2008 May;15(5):599-601. doi: 10.1016/j.jocn.2006.12.016. Epub 2008 Mar 6.

Abstract

We report an unusual case of left hemichorea in a 24-year-old male patient that followed the insertion of a right ventriculoperitoneal shunt. This completely resolved after removal of the shunt. A review of the available literature and the possible aetiopathogenesis is discussed.
